To celebrate the magazine’s 95th anniversary The New Yorker launched one of its biggest ever brand campaigns “The Right Question Changes Everything”. The esteemed Condé Nast title is celebrating with a series of digital ads and short animations for social media that directs readers to a selection of carefully curated high-profile New Yorker articles from over the years. The campaign garnered a lot of online attention and featured in the influential advertising publication Ad Age.

What we did
It was an honour to work for The New Yorker and flattering that Condé Nast came to us directly to animate the artwork for the campaign’s digital ads. We worked closely with their creative agency CNX to deliver multiple striking animations based on the original artwork from high-profile New Yorker articles. We used a combination of techniques including parallax, character animation and compositing to bring the digital ads to life.
